As a foundation, we work to raise the quality of research, popularise the research profession and disseminate knowledge to the public about the state and trends of public opinion changes in Poland and worldwide.

Being also a thriving research agency, we carry out marketing, social and political research on behalf of private and public entities.

The story of IBRiS is a fascinating tale of how a passion for research and understanding society can turn into an unquestionable market success. In 2014, at a time when public opinion was becoming increasingly important in shaping political and business decisions, a group of ambitious researchers, led by Marcin Duma, decided to set up the Institute for Market and Social Research (IBRiS). Their mission was not only to conduct research, but first and foremost to provide the public and decision-makers with reliable analyses that could contribute to a better understanding of the mood and needs of Poles.

History - a decade of success IBRiS

Just one year after its founding, IBRiS proved its worth by winning the prestigious Pythia Cup for the most accurate poll ahead of the first round of the presidential election. This accolade, awarded by the respected Jagiellonian University, was the first of many successes to come. In the dynamically changing world of social media and fake news, IBRiS’ precise surveys became a valuable source of reliable information.

In the following years, the institute consistently built its position. It expanded its pollster network, strengthened its research team and expanded its project portfolio. This strategy of organic growth allowed IBRiS to maintain its independence and build trust among clients and the public. In 2018, the institute was again honoured with the Pythia Cup, this time for accurately predicting the results of the local government elections, cementing its position as an expert in political research.

The year 2019 brought another breakthrough – IBRiS became one of the founders of EUROSKOPIA, Europe’s first association of independent research institutes. This move not only strengthened the institute’s position internationally, but also opened up new opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experience with partners from all over Europe.

The following years brought IBRiS recognition not only in the research community, but also in the world of marketing and media. In 2020, the institute took a high, third place in the prestigious TOP MARKA ranking of Press magazine, only to be promoted to second place the following year, overtaking all international corporations operating on the Polish research market. This achievement showed that an indigenous company can successfully compete with global giants, offering not only high quality research, but also an excellent understanding of the local context.

The year 2022 proved to be a breakthrough – IBRiS was recognised as the strongest brand on the Polish research market in the TOP MARKA ranking. This accolade confirmed that the institute not only provides valuable data, but also effectively builds its brand and reputation. In an era when trust in research institutions is crucial, IBRiS has distinguished itself as a trustworthy partner for the media, business and public institutions.

In 2023, IBRiS not only retained its leading position in the TOP MARKA ranking, but also found itself in the elite group of three research companies that best predicted the outcome of elections. This achievement is particularly significant in the context of growing social and political polarisation. IBRiS’s accurate forecasts have contributed to a better understanding of public sentiment and helped to drive substantive public debate.

Improving the quality of research

Since its foundation, IBRiS has strived to set the highest standards in market and social research. Our research is based on a solid methodological foundation and uses the latest technology to produce precise and reliable results. As a result, our analyses provide valuable information that is essential for decision-makers in a variety of sectors, from government to private companies. We regularly update our research methods to be in line with the latest trends and developments in the social sciences. We work with the best specialists and research centres, which allows us to continuously improve our services. As part of improving the quality of our research, we organise training courses and workshops for our staff and colleagues to ensure they have the latest knowledge and skills.

Popularising the research profession

One of our main objectives is to popularise the research profession. We believe that the work of a researcher is of great importance to society and that its results can contribute to a better understanding of various aspects of social and economic life. That is why we are involved in activities aimed at raising the prestige of the research profession and encouraging young people to take up a career in this field. We organise numerous conferences, seminars and meetings where we present the results of our research and share experiences and best practices. We also collaborate with universities and research institutes, offering internships and placements for students who want to gain practical experience in research work. This enables us not only to educate future generations of researchers, but also to promote the importance of social and market research to a wider audience.

Dissemination of knowledge of the state and trends of public opinion changes

Our foundation plays a key role in disseminating knowledge about the state and trends of changing public opinion. We regularly publish reports and analyses that provide valuable information on current public sentiment, voting preferences, opinions on various political and economic issues. Our research is widely reported in the media, allowing our findings to reach a wide audience. We cooperate with the most important media in the country, such as Telewizja Polsat, onet.pl, wp.pl, Rzeczpospolita, Radio ZET, RMF FM and Interia, to make our results available to as many people as possible. Thanks to this cooperation, we can influence public opinion and support informed decision-making at various social and political levels.
